Benjamin Nieberg is a senior attorney of counsel with The Oxbridge Law Group.  He has practiced all aspects of public agency law, with a specialization in education law for the past ten years.  His recent focus has been as a certificated mediator of litigated disputes, including real estate, construction, business and education matters.  He has practiced complex business litigation, including cases involving anti-trust and intellectual property issues.  In addition to his litigation experience, Mr. Nieberg has transactional experience representing asset-based and specialty lenders, as well as working on several public finance transactions involving a variety of public entities.

Mr. Nieberg has served as general counsel for school districts and has represented such agencies as well as other governmental entities in such matters as personnel and student issues, contracts, labor negotiations, and governance issues, including compliance with the Brown Act, the Political Reform Act and the Public Records Act.  Mr. Nieberg has lectured at several conferences throughout the state involving education and public agency law.   Complementing his interest and dedication to educational law,     Mr. Nieberg also possesses a bilingual social studies teaching credential, and he has previously taught high school social studies in a Los Angeles public school and taught English in Argentina.

In addition to the state bars of California and Pennsylvania, Mr. Nieberg is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court, Central District of California and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit, and is a member of the Los Angeles and San Diego County Bar Associations.  He attended law school at Boalt Hall School of Law (University California, Berkeley) where he received his juris doctorate in 1990.  Prior to attending Boalt Hall, Mr. Nieberg obtained his BA degree with honors from the College of Social Studies, Wesleyan University.  During his undergraduate studies, Mr. Nieberg also attended the London School of Economics, majoring in international affairs and strategic studies.  After obtaining his J.D. from Boalt, Mr. Nieberg clerked for the Hon. Harry Pregerson of the Ninth Circuit, United States Court of Appeals in Los Angeles.
